BAE Systems acquired Raytheon’s Airborne Tactical Radios (ATR) business for $275 million in cash. The deal also resulted in a gained tax benefit of approximately $50 million to BAE Systems. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Largo, Florida, the ATR business designs, manufactures and supplies mission-critical communications systems to the U.S. Department of Defense, allied governments and large defense aircraft manufacturers, with secure, battle-proven communications solutions that feature anti-jamming and encryption capabilities installed on a broad range of airborne platforms.

T.J. Wallace acted as the buy-side advisor to BAE Systems for this transaction and provided a fairness opinion to the Board of Directors of BAE Systems plc.
