Craig Lawson’s focus is predominantly the consumer sector broadly speaking, with particular expertise in pet, vet, and animal health and enthusiast products and services, but also entails retail healthcare, b2b2c models, and other adjacencies.
Background & Experience
Over his thirty-year financial services career, Craig has executed transactions spanning sell-side and buy-side, public and private mergers & acquisitions, capital raising (debt and equity), and strategic advisory assignments.
Immediately prior to Hyde Park Capital, Craig was a Managing Director in the Consumer Retail group with TD Cowen, and prior to TD Cowen he was with MHT Partners, a boutique investment bank with offices in San Francisco, Dallas, and Boston, that he co-founded and that was acquired by Cowen, a publicly traded, global financial services firm, in 2020. Craig also previously held senior roles as an M&A banker at Harris Williams (San Francisco), Bank of America Securities (now BAML, San Francisco and NY), and Bear Stearns (NY). Craig started his career at Fidelity Investments as a buy-side securities analyst.
Education
Craig holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Tufts University and a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Craig also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Series 7, and 63 securities licenses.
Interests & Hobbies
Outside of his professional endeavors, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in outdoor activities such as skiing and mountain biking, traveling and producing his own original artwork.
