Tampa, Fla. – September 2, 2026 – Hyde Park Capital announced today that Justin Garrod has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Garrod will lead Hyde Park Capital’s newly launched Sponsor Capital Solutions practice.

Hyde Park Capital’s Sponsor Capital Solutions practice provides secondary advisory, liquidity, and capital solutions to middle-market private equity sponsors, independent sponsors, institutional limited partners, and family offices.
The practice advises private equity sponsors on general partner-led secondary transactions, including continuation vehicles, tender offers, strip sales, and other bespoke structures. These solutions can help sponsors extend ownership of high-quality assets, raise follow-on capital, finance transactions, or provide liquidity to existing investors.
Hyde Park Capital also assists independent sponsors in raising flexible capital to finance acquisitions, fund follow-on investments, and refinance existing debt. Its capabilities include acquisition equity, debt, preferred equity, recapitalization capital, and structured growth capital.
For institutional limited partners and family offices, the practice provides advice on direct sales and bespoke structured solutions designed to create liquidity for private market investments. The practice also assists lower middle-market sponsors with primary fundraising mandates tailored to their individual needs.
Garrod brings over 20 years of experience in private equity secondaries and institutional capital raising. Prior to joining Hyde Park Capital, he served as a Partner at Mercury Capital Advisors and as a senior member of a private credit secondary fund.
Previously, Garrod co-founded Stonington Capital Advisors, a boutique private equity capital advisory firm providing capital raising services to lower middle-market sponsors, where he served as Co-Managing Partner.
Earlier in his career, Garrod served as a Vice President in the Lehman Brothers Private Funds Group. He also assisted the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy estate with the sale of balance sheet private equity interests in the secondary market. Garrod began his career as an M&A attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
Garrod earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.
Based in West Palm Beach, Garrod is involved with the Friendship Circle in Livingston, New Jersey, an organization dedicated to creating friendship, inclusion, and recreational opportunities for children and teens with special needs while supporting their families.
