Mike Froning is the Chairman of the Hyde Park Capital Advisory Board and serves as an Executive and Senior Advisor.

Industry Focus

Mike Froning is a seasoned executive with over four decades of senior leadership experience spanning transportation, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and the U.S. Army. A former Army E5 Sergeant and wrestling champion, Mike built his leadership foundation through military service.

Background & Experience

Mike began his career as a driver and later Union Representative in New York before moving into management and finally a Center Manager. From there, he moved into senior retail leadership as Division President and Executive Committee member at Circuit City, where he oversaw a $3 billion division. He went on to become President and CEO of Floor and Decor Outlets of America, growing revenue from $15 million to over $300 million, and later led Adams Arms, a Florida-based custom firearms manufacturer, as President and CEO.

Most recently, Mike served as President of Pinnacle Home Care, one of Florida’s leading private home health companies. In 2024, he led Pinnacle through a strategic partnership with HCS-Girling, a national home health provider. Hyde Park Capital served as the exclusive investment banker to Pinnacle in the transaction.

Now retired from day-to-day leadership, Mike is writing a book on executive leadership and continues to consult with business leaders and private equity firms through Tampa Bay Executive Consulting.

Community Service

Through the Froning Family Foundation, Mike supports both Metropolitan Ministries as an Advisory Board Member of Pinellas County and as the Co-Chair of the East Lake Woodlands Drive for a Cure as an Honor Partner, helping fund assistance for breast cancer patients and access to screening, diagnostic services, and treatment. He has also participated in the Special Operations Memorial Foundation Golf Tournament alongside Hyde Park Capital.

Mike was recognized alongside Pinnacle Home Care founder Shane Donaldson as a 2025 Dealmaker of the Year by Smart Business Dealmakers, honoring their leadership in the company’s growth and its transaction with HCS-Girling.

Interest & Hobbies

Outside of his consulting work, Mike plays golf, works out, is writing a book on executive leadership and spending time with his family.
