Jon Metzgar

BD ASSOCIATE

Jon Metzgar serves as a business development associate, supporting the firm’s mergers & acquisitions, private capital-raising, and corporate finance efforts. 

Focusing primarily in the software technology sector, Jon also supports a variety of other industries for the firm, leaning on his previous experience in buyside M&A to help business owners navigate their exit options. 

Prior to joining Hyde Park Capital, Jon worked for a London-based private equity-backed software acquirer, as well as a family office in Nashville and another PE-backed acquirer operator, where he led the sourcing and business development teams – resulting in several strategic acquisitions for the firms. Jon graduated with a B.S. from Elon University in North Carolina, studying Sport Management and Professional Sales while participating in the Financial Management Association, Club Basketball, and Sport Management clubs. In the summer leading up to his senior year, Jon interned for the Houston Astros after their 2017 World Series Championship, where he supported their business operations by working across their various front office departments.  

Jon is a Massachusetts native from the suburbs of Boston, where he grew up playing and watching a lot of sports – primarily basketball and football. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, trying new restaurants, golfing, and watching Boston sports teams win championships.
