John Christmas serves as Managing Director of Hyde Park Capital’s Infrastructure Finance team.

Industry Focus

John has advised companies across multiple industries, with particular experience in the renewable energy, power & infrastructure sectors.

Background & Experience

John’s investment banking career spans over 35 years. Prior to joining Hyde Park Capital, he was a senior vice president with Hannon Armstrong Securities, a publicly traded cleantech investment bank where he led a multi-billion-dollar energy services group. Most recently, he served as president of Current Energy Capital, which focuses on renewable energy and digital infrastructure. John has extensive experience in originating, developing, structuring, negotiating and closing complex infrastructure transactions.  Investor relationships include every relevant institutional sector, including banks, insurance companies, pensions, private equity and infrastructure funds in the US as well as Europe and Japan. In a business based on relationships, John is hyper-focused on maximizing value creation for clients and maintaining his long-standing connections with institutional investors.

Education

John holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from George Mason University and an MBA in finance from Marymount University.

Outside of work, John is an avid reader of history, college basketball fan, runner and devoted dad to three boys.
