Mr. Valentine assists in the origination and execution of Hyde Park Capital’s merger and acquisition and private placement transactions. Mr. Valentine has M&A and private placement experience in both the healthcare and financial services industry. Prior to joining Hyde Park Capital, Mr. Valentine was a Vice President at Athena Capital Partners, Inc., an investment bank focused on the healthcare market.

Prior to joining Athena, Mr. Valentine worked for Keefe, Bruyette and Woods, Inc., a full service, New York-based investment bank specializing in the financial services industry. While at Keefe, Bruyette and Woods, Mr. Valentine assisted in the structuring and marketing of numerous transactions, including sell-side M&A engagements and mezzanine capital transactions.

Prior to joining Keefe, Bruyette and Woods, Mr. Valentine worked for Salomon Smith Barney in New York. Mr. Valentine received his B.S. degree in Business Administration, with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, where he was a four-year varsity wrestler and President of his fraternity. Mr. Valentine is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
